RECENT DEVELOPMENTS IN PROTEROZOIC-MESOZOIC SUCCESSIONS OF THE NORTHWEST HIMALAYA
Abstract
The Himalayan orogeny has shaped the sedimentary basins of the Northwest Himalaya. Himalaya represents a potential prospective region for hydrocarbon exploration. Within this region continuous tectonic deformation has formed both ‘conventional’ and ‘unconventional’ petroleum systems at multiple stratigraphic levels of Precambrian to Neogene age
